Applied Forensic Work

In certain contexts, the FAFG has contributed technical support in forensic processes, including advice on exhumations, analysis of human remains and best practices for the recovery, documentation and identification of missing persons, always in coordination with the competent Colombian institutions.

Strengthening civil society and victims

A central component of their work is strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations, victims, families of missing persons, and searchers. This includes training in rights, search mechanisms, informed participation in forensic processes, and understanding of institutional procedures, promoting the active and dignified participation of families.
